Rumor: A new Wolfenstein game under development at MachineGames

The Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, who played and voiced Anya in Wolfenstein: The New Order, spoke about her work on the Wolfenstein games to a Polish TV, and revealed by mistake that she was working on a sequel of the game for MachineGames studio:

I’m working on a video game, first part of which I have already made. Now we’re making a second one, which will take two more years.

I played this game [Wolf3D] as a child. I was very happy when I got to the point where I could shoot Hitler.

So we can expect a new Wolfenstein game in 2017, still developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda. In many interviews over the last year, MachineGames told that they would be very pleased to work on a new Wolfenstein game, and that they already had many ideas about it. With the success of their work on the Wolfenstein games with Bethesda, it would have been very strange if they wouldn’t have been authorized to do it!

Note that it seems to be a curse for MachineGames: in 2013, an ADR Engineer put on his CV that he was working on a new Wolfenstein game… 3 months before the official announcement of Wolfenstein: The New Order!
