Wolfenstein: The New Order – Retrospective one month after…

One month after the release of Wolfenstein: The New Order, it’s now possible to make some retrospective about the reviews and the sales of the game so far.

First, unlike the previous Wolfenstein game (which had a mean score of 72% in all reviews on all versions), Wolf:TNO got some very positive reviews, with a MetaCritic score of 79% on PS4 and XBox One, and 82% on PC, and even some high scores like a 100% on DarkStation!

The sales are also very positive, as the game is still present in many Top 10 of various countries, like in France, UK (4th), USA (4th), and even Japan (8th).

The global sales numbers of the game at June 7 were around 430,000 units for the PS4 version, 240,000 for the XBox One, 140,000 for Windows PC, 130,000 for PS3 and 120,000 for XBox 360, thus reaching a total number of more than one million units sold for all versions! It’s already very close to the total sales numbers of Wolfenstein in 2009 (around 1.1 million) – but after only 3 weeks!

Good game, MachineGames!
